The Satellite Women’s Conference (SWC) began in 2018 with almost 60 women representing 40 companies, who took a leap of faith to participate in an industry first women’s only event, has now grown by 35% in just three (in person) years with continued enthusiasm and inspiring support. Last year, in 2021, Satellite was honored to host over 80 women from over 50 companies, representing a mix of 60% first time and 40% returning attendees. To fuel this momentum SWC has moved around the country to make it more accessible, going from Minneapolis, MN in 2018 to Scottsdale, AZ in 2019, with a digital event in 2020, and in 2021 hosting its most engaging experience to date in Nashville, TN. Now this year we’re excited to host our 5th annual Satellite Women’s Conference in San Diego, CA, and hope to serve 100 amazing women from an even broader audience.
SWC has evolved into a connected community of strong businesswomen not only within the portable sanitation industry but also beyond our borders, ranging from small and medium sized business to larger, corporate organizations. Decision makers, owners, managers, field technicians and office staff; with seasoned experience, a few years under their belt, or those who just received their business license and are eager to get started!
SWC is an educational event focused on professional development, personal growth, networking, and community. Together we are celebrating five amazing years of building friendships, developing professional relationships, and sharing ideas and skills necessary for running an efficient, relevant, and profitable business while having fun in the process! And we’re not stopping now!
“In the past four years at SWC, I’ve met the most amazing women in the industry who have shared their joys and laughter, their struggles and fears, their stories and passions both in a room full of women and to me personally. Every year I am inspired by this community of strong, smart women who I look forward to meeting for the first time or seeing again. I truly care about and appreciate everyone who I’ve been fortunate to meet and get to know on this journey. And I am humbled by the overwhelming support of our sponsors; their contributions help to keep this event affordable and sustainable.”
